Would you rather tangle with a black mamba or a komodo dragon? You are locked in a room. In order to get out ,you have to defeat a black mamba or a komodo dragon. Which would you choose? |
| If it were barehanded, I'd go for the komodo dragon. Although they carry deadly bacteria in their saliva and are larger, I should have more time to get to a hospital and receive treatment than if I were bitten by the deadly black mamba. But if I had some type of weapon or something to use, I might take my chances with the black mamba if I thought it was sufficient to give me a good chance of getting out of the room without any harm. |

Is the Black Mamba the deadliest snake in the world? This has got me kind of boggled. I know Anaconda is the most dangerous but recently, I happened to catch this show on Nat Geo and it showed encounters with the deadliest snakes in the world. The guy in the show rated the Black Mamba as the deadliest. For all I know, Green Mamba is deadlier than the Black mamba so any clues?
Thanks for helping! |

When do Venom Black Mamba energy drinks expire? I have a case of Black Mamba energy drinks and Mojave Rattler energy drinks and I'm not sure if they have expired or not. I can provide the code on the bottom of the bottle for verification. Who do I ask? |
| Where did you buy the Venom Black Mamba? Try asking the manager of the store or one of the staffs if they know the expiration date. If that doesn't work, provide me with the verification code by e-mail. I may know it. I will respond back. |
Is their another snake that looks like a black mamba? I think black mambas look really cool, but even with tons of experience, I would not even think about handling one. Is their a less toxic or even non venomous snake that looks like a black mamba? |
| I don't know why people are suggesting black snakes. Black mambas are not black. The inside of their mouth is. Most black mambas are a kind of greyish color. You probably won't find a snake the same color that gapes and hoods like they do. But getting a real one isn't a good idea. They get over 10 feet long and are super fast. |
What States is Black Mamba Incense illegal in ? Is there a map showing what states it is illegal to have Black Mamba ? |

Could a Fierce Snake or Black Mamba kill an elephant? Is it possible for a venomous snake, such as the Fierce Snake or Black Mamba to put out enough venom in one bite to kill a full grown African Bush Elephant? |
First, I doubt a snake's fang could petetrate. Even assuming petetration, the fang is only about an inch long, at best. The elephant's skin is several inches thick. No way the snake can get its venom into the elephant's blood stream (which would be necessary to harm so big a creature.)
But for the sake of argument, let's say the venom does get in somehow.
The effectivity of venom relies in large part upon the mass of the victim. It takes more vemon kill larger creatures than smaller ones. I don't have figures for the Fierce Snake but the the Mamba can deliver a maximun of 400mg of venom (typical is around 100mg per bite). It takes 10-15mg to kill a full grown human. A full grown african elephant has approximately 50 times more mass than the average human so logically, it should take at least 500mg of venom to kill the elephant. That's more than maximum amount of venom a single mamba can possibly produce and 5 times more venom a single bite typically delivers.
Potentially, a hemotoxic venom could cause nercrosis of the tissue around the snakebite, which might eventually lead to infection and death. However, both snakes mentioned use neurotoxins, not hemotoxins.
So no. It is very unlikely that either snake can kill an elephant. |
